Autism Awareness

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Omega Eta Zeta chapter is dedicated to the mission of improving the lives of people of color living with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD).

Autism Awareness is a capstone initiative established under the Members’ Administration by the Centennial International President, Valerie Hollingsworth Baker.

Omega Eta Zeta champions autism awareness by educating, advocating, and funding. Our chapter believes and understands that living with and supporting people with ASD is a 24/7, 365 day a year commitment. We endeavor to support our national partnership with Micah’s Voice and build upon our local partnerships to keep Southeastern Massachusetts communities engaged and informed via our programs and initiatives.

Micah’s Voice is a 501 (c) 3 organization which provides community, hope and financial resources to families affected by autism. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and Micah’s Voice have come together to build awareness, strengthen advocacy and execute fundraising to support families of autistic children.

Micah’s Voice was founded by Shawn and Sharhonda Stockman. Shawn Stockman is one of the lead singers and founders of Boys II Men. The Stockman’s Foundation was inspired by one of their twin sons, Micah, who is autistic. They realized the financial burden families experienced and looked to help support these families. #micahsvoiceandzphib
